What is CoMaH?
The Community Maternal Health (CoMaH) Project was the initial initiative that inspired the formation of our organization in 2014. It is a pioneering program dedicated to supporting vulnerable pregnant women, ensuring they have access to essential care, resources, and guidance throughout their pregnancy journey. At the core of CoMaH is the distribution of Mama Kits, thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of expectant mothers. Each kit includes: Clean delivery materials to promote safe childbirth Baby clothes and blankets for newborn care Sanitary products to maintain maternal hygiene Essential pregnancy supplies to enhance wellbeing during this critical period In addition to material support, CoMaH provides comprehensive healthcare services completely free of charge, including: Full maternal health check-ups Ultrasound and pregnancy scans HIV testing and counseling Health education and guidance on prenatal care Through these services, CoMaH not only addresses immediate needs but also empowers women with knowledge, confidence, and access to healthcare that reduces maternal and infant risks. The project emphasizes dignity, respect, and compassionate care, ensuring every mother feels valued and supported. Since its inception, CoMaH has reached hundreds of mothers, positively impacting families and communities by promoting maternal and child health, raising awareness about preventive care, and building stronger foundations for the next generation. By combining practical support, healthcare access, and community engagement, CoMaH represents a holistic approach to maternal wellbeing. This initiative underscores our commitment to transforming lives, strengthening families, and fostering healthier communities.
Our Goals under this project
Equip expectant mothers with Mama Kits containing clean delivery materials, baby clothes, blankets, and sanitary products to support safe childbirth and maternal wellbeing.
Provide vulnerable pregnant women with access to essential healthcare services, including check-ups, scans, HIV testing, and prenatal guidance, to reduce maternal and infant risks.
Offer health education and counseling on prenatal care, nutrition, and hygiene to help mothers make informed decisions for themselves and their children.
Engage local communities, volunteers, and stakeholders to create sustainable support networks that promote maternal health and enhance family wellbeing.
No Mother Should Die While Giving Birth.
Every mother deserves a safe pregnancy and childbirth. Tragically, many women especially in vulnerable communities face preventable risks due to lack of healthcare, resources, and support. Through the CoMaH Project, we are committed to ensuring that every expectant mother receives the care, guidance, and essential supplies she needs to survive and thrive during pregnancy. By providing free health check-ups, scans, HIV testing, and Mama Kits, we are working to make safe motherhood a reality for all women.
