About Us

Bulamu Access Foundation (BAF) is a Ugandan-based nonprofit organization established in 2014 and officially registered in 2019, with a mission to improve healthcare access and reduce maternal mortality in Uganda’s rural, impoverished, and marginalized communities, including refugee settlements. We work at the grassroots level, using community outreach, civic education, and peer-to-peer engagement to foster sustainable health improvements and social change. Our programs focus on maternal and child health, adolescent sexual and reproductive health education, and the prevention of unsafe abortions and early pregnancies. Beyond healthcare, we are deeply committed to empowering women and girls through education and livelihood initiatives that promote economic independence, confidence, and long-term resilience. Through strategic partnerships with government agencies, local health centers, and other stakeholders, we extend our reach and maximize impact, ensuring that no one is left behind. At BAF, we believe that healthy communities start with informed individuals and inclusive systems. Our vision is a Uganda where every woman, adolescent, and child can access quality healthcare, make informed life decisions, and thrive in a safe, supportive environment.
